You want to perform the most of your tasks on the ground level before hanging any eavestrough. With the eaves trough on the ground, put on your end caps and use a good crimper and sealant to do so.

Next you want to install the outlets. Using a few 2x4s on the ground and turn the eavestrough upside down. Where are the outlets are located, in which the downpipe are installed, you will want to use a chisel marking an outline with an X from corner to corner. And use tin snips to cut an outline to the bottom of the downspouts.

Flip the eavestrough over and make sure it fits properly to the outlet. Remove the outlet seal and apply gutter sealant to the bottom of the outlet and re-install into the eavestrough. Use rivets to hold outlet in place.
